Daily Record, The (Baltimore) - Germantown-based MiddleBrook Pharmaceuticals Inc. narrows 4Q loss

MiddleBrook Pharmaceuticals Inc., the Germantown-based maker of the antibiotic Keflex, reported fourth-quarter revenue of $10.5 million in fiscal 2007, up 117 percent from $4.8 million the year before. Sales for the fourth quarter were $2.9 million, compared to $1.2 million for the same period in 2006.

Net loss for the fourth quarter was $9.1 million, compared to $13.8 million during the year- ago period. The company posted a $42.2 million net loss for fiscal 2007, or 96 cents per share, up from the $42 million it reported the year before.
