MiddleBrook Pharmaceuticals Inc., of Germantown, formerly Advancis Pharmaceutical Corp., which develops novel anti-infective products, reported a second-quarter net loss of $9.5 million, or 21 cents per diluted share, on revenue of $2.7 million, versus a net loss of $10.7 million, or 35 cents per share, on revenue of $336,000 in the corresponding 2006 quarter.
